By placing goods into storage with Kingdom Removals, the customer agrees to the following terms and conditions:
1. Payment & Release of Goods
All storage, handling, and related charges must be paid in full before any goods are released. No exceptions will be made.
2. Access to Stored Goods
Our storage facility is unmanned.
Customers do not have access to stored goods under any circumstances.
All collections and deliveries are carried out solely by Kingdom Removals.
Customers requiring 24-hour or self-access storage must make alternative arrangements elsewhere.
3. Minimum Storage Period
All goods placed into storage are subject to a minimum storage period of four (4) weeks, regardless of whether the goods are stored for a shorter time.
4. Damage Reporting
Any claims for loss or damage must be reported in writing within seven (7) days of:
- Delivery of goods from storage, or
- Collection of goods by the customer or their appointed agent
Claims reported outside this period will not be accepted.
5. Third-Party Collections
Once goods are collected by another removal company or third party, Kingdom Removals accepts no liability for any loss or damage, howsoever caused.
6. Insurance
Insurance cover for stored goods is the responsibility of the customer.
Unless specifically agreed in writing, Kingdom Removals does not provide insurance cover for goods while in storage.
7. Non-Payment & Right of Lien
Kingdom Removals reserves the right of lien over all goods stored.
This means that if any sums remain unpaid, we may:
- Refuse access to, or release of, the goods
- Retain the goods until all outstanding balances are settled
If payment is not received within a reasonable time, we reserve the right, after giving notice, to sell or dispose of the goods to recover unpaid charges and associated costs.
8. Refusal of Access
Access to goods will be refused where storage fees or related charges remain unpaid.
9. Prohibited & High-Risk Items
We do not accept liability for goods that are:
- Perishable
- Dangerous or hazardous
- Illegal
- Flammable (including fuels, gas bottles, chemicals)
Customers are responsible for ensuring such items are not placed into storage.
10. Limitation of Liability
Kingdom Removals’ liability is limited to loss or damage caused by our proven negligence and is strictly limited to the terms outlined above. No responsibility is accepted for indirect or consequential losses.
11. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by Scottish law, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
